Job summary

SunVest Solar, LLC in Chicago HQ is seeking a VP, Construction to lead delivery and management of solar projects from preconstruction to closeout, overseeing 500 kW to 50 MW C&I projects and up to 100 projects concurrently, reporting to COO.

The role emphasizes disciplined project controls, EPC contracting leadership, team development, safety and quality, and collaboration across Development, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Asset Management to drive SunVest's growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field required.
• At least 10 years in project management/construction with 3+ years in leadership in solar/renewables.
• Experience delivering distributed generation or small utility-scale solar projects.
• Experience negotiating and administering EPC agreements; NABCEP/OSHA desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee solar projects from preconstruction to closeout, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and budget control.
• Lead end-to-end EPC contracting, including bid strategy, negotiations, scope alignment and handoff.
• Manage in-house project execution team and EPC contractor performance.
• Ensure environmental compliance and rigorous quality assurance across projects.
• Provide regular status updates to senior management and cross-functional teams.
