Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Vice President, Software Engineering in Seattle, WA to develop, enhance, support and maintain the Firm’s software solutions across global businesses. You will design and implement high-quality, scalable technology solutions, own requirements gathering, user stories, development, testing, UAT and deployment, and work with internal teams to craft robust designs.

You'll identify new external technologies to transform financial platforms, work through all SDLC phases,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS/CE/IS or related field with 3 years of related software engineering experience, or Bachelor's with 5 years of experience.
• Experience with multi-threaded or multi-process enterprise apps in Unix environments.
• Strong knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, RabbitMQ or Kafka; and RDBMS like Oracle or Sybase.

• Develop, enhance, support and maintain Goldman Sachs software solutions across global businesses.
• Own requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and UAT while guiding junior engineers.
• Design scalable solutions and explore external technologies to transform platforms.
