Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering in Seattle, WA to lead development of scalable software solutions across the firm’s global businesses. You will own the full SDLC from requirements and design to testing, deployment and production support, guiding teams to deliver robust, secure systems.

The role requires advanced degrees or equivalent experience, and deep expertise in Java, C#, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience with Java, C#, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript and React across the full SDLC
• Proven ability to design, build and operate multi-threaded / multi-process, service-oriented systems

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, support and maintain Goldman Sachs' software solutions
• Own requirements gathering, user story refinement, development, testing (unit/integration/UG/UAT) and deployment
• Lead testing suites, ensure regulatory compliance and robust production readiness
• Collaborate with internal teams to design scalable solutions and leverage cloud services
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members
