Job summary

The Goldman Sachs Group seeks a Vice President of Software Engineering in Seattle to lead development and maintenance of the firm's software solutions across global businesses.

You will own requirements, design scalable solutions, drive full SDLC activities, implement robust tests, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with internal teams and leveraging internal and open-source technologies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, or Bachelor's with five years of experience.
• Three years with a Master's or five years with a Bachelor's in relevant software engineering, with 5 of the listed skills.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment and production support.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, support and maintain the Firm's software solutions.
• Own requirements gathering, user story refinement, development, testing (unit, integration and regression), UAT and deployment.
• Design and implement scalable technology solutions leveraging internal and open-source services.
• Work with internal teams to develop solution designs.
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
