Job summary

DJEH is seeking a Vice President of Social Strategy to lead social initiatives for Edelman's largest clients in San Francisco. This role partners with clients, creatives, and account teams to deliver strategic, insight-driven social campaigns that move at the speed of culture.

You will develop and present strategy, unearth cultural insights, and mentor teams in a fast-paced agency environment, ensuring exceptional client outcomes and groundbreaking social practice leadership.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in social media or digital advertising as a strategist.
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a digital, social, integrated marketing or communications agency.
• Proven experience in delivering effective digital/social campaigns for large, well-known consumer brands.
• Strong writing and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of influencers/tastemakers is a plus.
• Fluency in data and analytics, and how data informs strategies and optimizations.

Responsibilities

• Articulates insights from social and conversational trends and translates observations into strategic recommendations.
• Stays current on audiences, cultural trends, social media behaviors, and platform best practices.
• Works directly with clients to gain trust and inspire bold digital 'firsts' while ensuring client success.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to motivate, create, and implement short and long-term online marketing strategies.
