DigitalOcean is seeking a VP of Security and Platform Services to oversee the combined Security Product Management and Security Engineering organizations, spanning Customer Identity, Billing, Secrets Management, Security Observability, and other Core Platform Account Services. You will set the vision, own the roadmap, and lead product and engineering leaders who deliver it.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in product management, engineering, or technical leadership.
• Experience owning P&L-style outcomes for a product/portfolios.
• Direct experience in security, identity, billing/monetization, or core platform services.
• Experience operating in public-company or high-governance environments with board reporting.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence peers and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and outcomes for Security Products and related services.
• Build and grow a multi-disciplinary org of PMs and engineers; mentor leaders.
• Set build/buy/partner strategy and end-to-end lifecycle ownership.
• Translate strategy into a prioritized security/platform roadmap and communicate trade-offs to executives.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, Finance, Legal, and Support to align plans.
• Define KPIs and drive improvements across security, platform reliability, and billing integrity.
• Establish engineering and product excellence practices and reduce technical debt.
• Ensure security, privacy, and compliance standards across all products.
• Act as escalation point for incidents and platform reliability events affecting customers.
• Represent the unit to executives, board, and key customers/partners.
