Job summary

EDB is seeking a VP-level Security leader to own Security Operations and Security Engineering. You report to the CISO and shape threat detection, incident response, and preventive controls across people, platforms, and pipelines.

You will scale the program globally as the business grows, balancing automation with human expertise. You’ll collaborate with Governance, IT, and Product, driving security across acquired companies and new environments while guiding a remote-first team with on-call

Qualifications

• What you bring: 5+ years of management leading security teams.
• 7+ years hands-on in security operations, IR, detection, or engineering.
• Track record scaling security functions during rapid growth with automation.
• Ability to translate risk to business impact for executives and partners.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end incident response from intake to improvement, incl. legal coordination.
• Develop detection engineering, threat hunting, and SIEM/EDR/SOAR platforms.
• Lead security engineering strategy to prevent incidents via controls and identity.
• Build insider threat and identity assurance programs with HR and Legal.
• Automate security workflows and extend analyst capacity with AI-enabled tooling.
• Integrate security for acquired companies and new environments.
• Partner with IT and Product to embed preventive controls in platforms and pipelines.
• Scale the program design, operating rhythms, budget, and vendor strategy.
