Job summary

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals is seeking a senior IT leader to partner with R&D and TechOps, translating science-driven strategy into scalable technology roadmaps and an efficient operating model. This VP-level role will own the Scientific IT portfolio, budget, and governance, aligning data, cybersecurity, and enterprise standards with clinical development, regulatory, quality, and manufacturing needs.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 20+ years of progressive IT and technology leadership experience.
• Significant biotech/pharma experience and working with ELT-level stakeholders.
• Experience translating business strategy into technology roadmaps and investment plans.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior IT business partner for R&D and TechOps, translating strategy into roadmaps.
• Own Scientific IT portfolio, including roadmap, investments, prioritization and value realization.
• Build a scalable Scientific IT organization with domain depth and cross-functional breadth.
• Ensure systems, data, integrations, and governance meet compliance and performance goals.
• Lead delivery for R&D and TechOps capabilities across clinical, regulatory, quality, and manufacturing.
• Establish a service delivery model with clear ownership, escalation paths, and vendor oversight.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Data, AI, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure teams.
