Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a Vice President to lead enterprise AI governance, risk assessment, and regulatory alignment across the firm. You will shape the risk culture, oversee models, and partner with cybersecurity, privacy, legal and compliance teams.

This builder-operator role requires strong leadership, 7–10+ years in risk-related functions, and a track record of delivering defensible governance in complex financial environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Risk Management, Economics, Finance, or related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
• 7–10+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, governance or related control function, preferably in a regulated financial institution.
• Experience working at a Big 4 consulting firm or other large complex institution.
• 2+ years in AI risk management, governance or compliance-related roles.
• Prior leadership experience with a proven ability to lead and mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve the AI governance framework, policies and standards in alignment with regulatory landscape.
• Oversee, conduct and challenge risk assessments and gap analyses on AI solutions to identify risks and ensure compliance.
• Define and challenge control expectations for AI development and deployment, including cybersecurity and governance processes.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure AI models align with AI risk frameworks.
• Assist in establishing and overseeing AI risk governance frameworks, including policy development and committee governance.
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices, such as NIST AI RMF and ISO AI standards.
