Job summary

AQR Capital Management's Global Stock Selection QRD team seeks a strong software engineer to support research infrastructure and production systems. You will build scalable, AWS-based storage and compute, a generalized research platform, data ingestion/validation, model computation, and ML/NLP pipelines that enable researchers to turn ideas into production-ready strategies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Experience building cloud-native applications, preferably AWS.
• Experience designing data ingestion, processing pipelines and ML/AI applications.
• Strong software architecture, performance, observability and reliability.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments with evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build or extend scalable, AWS-based storage and computing infrastructure.
• Develop a generalized research platform and data ingestion/validation engine.
• Implement model computation and signal generation pipelines.
• Create ML/NLP pipelines to support quantitative research.
• Collaborate across researchers and engineers to deliver production systems.
