Job summary

AQR Capital Management in Greenwich, CT is seeking a software engineer to enhance our Quantitative Research Development platform. You will help build scalable, cloud-native infrastructure, data ingestion pipelines, and model computation components that support Global Stock Selection research.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of production software experience, strong Python skills, and familiarity with Linux, AWS, distributed systems, and ML/LLMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python; C++ is a plus; Linux proficiency required.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native apps; distributed data processing.
• Experience with ML/LLMs and AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend scalable AWS-based storage and compute infrastructure.
• Develop generalized research platform and data pipelines.
• Implement model computation, signal generation, and AI workflows.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers across teams.
