Job summary

Athene is seeking a Vice President, Relationship Manager to drive growth in our IMO distribution channel by developing strategic relationships, expanding advisor engagement, and delivering retirement income solutions. Travel will be substantial as you partner with divisions to execute territory strategies and achieve sales objectives.

The role requires 8+ years in annuities distribution, FINRA licenses, and a proactive, strategic mindset to leverage AI tools and industry insights.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience wholesaling Fixed Indexed Annuities and/or Registered Index-Linked Annuities within IMO or IBD channels.
• Proven track record of growing a sales territory and achieving sales goals.
• Strong knowledge of the annuity marketplace, territory management, advisor practices, and financial services industry.
• Ability to think strategically, adapt quickly, and leverage AI/technology to improve productivity.
• Active FINRA Series 6 and Life & Health licenses required.
• FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses preferred.
• RCIP designation required within 12 months of employment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan to drive sales growth and expand advisor relationships.
• Build and deepen relationships with Independent Marketing Organizations, financial advisors, and distribution partners.
• Deliver product education, sales training, seminars, and consultative solutions for FIA and RILA products.
• Collaborate with internal wholesalers and cross-functional teams to optimize resources and advisor support.
• Manage territory performance, travel, and budgets while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Use market insights and AI-enabled tools to identify opportunities and enhance the customer experience.
