Barclays is seeking a Vice President Full Stack Developer for its Whippany, NJ office. The role combines front-end Angular/TypeScript with Java/Spring back-end development to deliver high-performance trading platform features.

You will own real-time data processing, UI performance, and scalable distributed systems, collaborating with front-office stakeholders to drive revenue and client growth. The position offers end-to-end ownership and measurable impact from day one.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Angular, TypeScript and modern web technologies to build responsive front-office apps in demanding trading environments.
• - Ample full-stack experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem for scalable, low-latency solutions.
• - Deep expertise in UI performance engineering, real-time data streaming, rendering optimization, and handling hundreds of thousands of transactions with minimal latency.
• - Strong knowledge of real-time messaging and event-driven architectures (WebSocket, Kafka, Solace), RESTful API design for performance, security and interoperability.
• - Passion for engineering excellence, automation, test strategies, CI/CD and modern software engineering practices.
