Barclays in Whippany, NJ is seeking a Senior Front End Full Stack Developer – VP to architect and deliver high-performance trading front-office platforms. You will own end-to-end delivery, optimize UI performance for real-time data, and collaborate with traders and product teams to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions.

You will champion CI/CD, testing, and modern engineering practices to ensure rapid, reliable feature delivery, while ensuring security and interoperability

Qualifications

• Expertise in Angular, TypeScript and modern web technologies to build responsive front-office apps.
• Ample full-stack experience with Java and Spring for scalable, low-latency workflows.
• Deep expertise in UI performance engineering and real-time data streaming.
• Experience with real-time messaging and event-driven architectures (WebSocket, Kafka, Solace) and RESTful APIs.
• Automation mindset with CI/CD, testing and quality engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality software with scalable, maintainable, high-performance code.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to define requirements and align with business aims.
• Contribute to code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated on tech trends and contribute to engineering communities to foster excellence.
• Adhere to secure coding practices and implement unit testing to ensure reliability.
• Lead or collaborate with teams to drive continuous improvements and policy adherence.
