Oatey in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Vice President, Quality to lead the corporate quality organization, quality systems, and quality engineering. Reporting to the COO, the role partners with Operations, Engineering, PM, Sourcing, Distribution and Sales to strengthen quality governance and data-driven decision making.

The incumbent will drive the QMS, CAPA, auditing, supplier quality, and risk management, while developing talent and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Chemistry or a related technical field.
• ASQ certification or equivalent.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt.
• Master's degree or MBA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Management System (QMS) and drive continuous improvement.
• Represent Quality in strategic initiatives, major reviews and supplier changes.
• Establish practical corporate standards for nonconformance, CAPA, root-cause, change control and traceability.
• Lead the Corporate Quality Engineering team to resolve complex quality issues across manufacturing and supplier networks.
• Provide QE support to Operations, Engineering, PM, Sourcing and Distribution for changes and validation.
• Define critical-to-quality requirements with Product Management and Engineering.
• Partner with Sourcing and Operations on supplier qualification and corrective actions.
• Ensure corrective actions address systemic causes and update standards.
• Provide escalation and technical guidance for significant quality events.
• Foster a culture of rigor, customer focus and cross-functional partnership.
• Manage the function’s budget and resources.
