Job summary

The Council of Independent Colleges in Washington, DC seeks a Vice President for Programs to lead academic and leadership initiatives and to plan the Institute for Chief Academic Officers and Chairs workshops.

The VPP oversees grant-funded programs, supports foundation fundraising, and collaborates with AALI and CIC senior advisors; this role requires travel and close collaboration with staff, volunteers, and member campuses.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership roles in academic affairs at independent colleges.
• Ability to present CIC's mission to national/international audiences.
• Experience with foundation fundraising, grant management, convening planning, cross-institutional and international initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee academic and leadership programs and plan two annual programs central to CIC’s mission.
• Support foundation fundraising and oversee grant-funded initiatives.
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and external subject matter experts; report to the president.
