Job summary

Sidetrade Group is seeking a VP Product to build and lead Sidetrade Pay, a global embedded payments business. You will define vision, strategy, and a roadmap across NA, UK, Europe, and beyond, reporting to the CPO. This is a newly created role central to Sidetrade's strategic bet on monetising payments.

You will lead a payments product team, manage PSP partnerships, and drive adoption with large enterprises and SMBs, with full remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Proven payments monetisation experience within a B2B SaaS context.
• Deep knowledge of card acquiring, bank rails, and network economics.
• Experience negotiating with acquirers and PSPs and managing commercial terms.
• Ability to own revenue or P&L for a payments/fintech product line.
• Experience delivering payment experiences for large enterprises and high-volume SMBs.
• Regulatory awareness across North America, UK, EEA, and ideally Australia.
• Strong cross-functional leadership across Engineering, Design, Sales, CS, Legal and Finance.
• Outstanding communication for exec stakeholders and partners.
• Experience hiring and developing product managers.
• Familiarity with Order-to-Cash or AR workflows is advantageous.
• Open to a fully remote work arrangement and global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own Sidetrade Pay end to end: vision, strategy, roadmap, and commercial model.
• Define pricing and packaging across acquiring, debits, and rails; evolve with adoption.
• Lead payment partner relationships: terms, joint roadmap, SLAs, multi-provider framework.
• Build activation engines to convert installed base into paying merchants with Sales and CS.
• Ensure payments are embedded in Sidetrade’s O2C and ezyCollect journeys.
• Plan and sequence embedded finance expansions in line with partners and market readiness.
• Collaborate with Legal, Security, Finance on compliance and risk controls.
• Hire and mentor the payments product team and establish product craft standards.
• Report progress and metrics to the payments steering group and executive committee.
• Monitor market intelligence: PSPs, orchestration, schemes, and regulatory shifts.
