Job summary

PayJunction is seeking a Product Manager to own the Payment Experience domain—merchant-facing surface for payments. You will drive the VT, surcharging, tender types, and login/security with a CEO-like ownership of outcomes.

Lead adoption, configure merchant education, and build the backlog with 2–4 sprints ready. This role requires payments fluency, strong collaboration with engineering, and proactive stakeholder updates.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience as a Product Manager or in a similar leadership role.
3+ years working with Agile/Scrum teams and backlog health.
Direct experience in payments, acceptance, or processing and related concepts.
Navigating regulated payments constraints as product inputs.
Outcome-focused delivery with measurable business impact.
Experience with merchant-facing or SMB-facing product experiences.
Experience with B2B SaaS product management and multi-tenant considerations.
BNPL or alternative tender types experience preferred.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and discovery tools preferred.
PM certifications preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Own the product vision, strategy, and quarterly roadmap for the Payment Experience domain.
Own the full payment experience lifecycle across the domain — VT, surcharging, tender types, and login/security.
Drive surcharge enrollment growth within state laws and card-brand rules.
Manage tender-type adoption including BNPL, ACH, Apple Pay and future methods.
Build and maintain the product backlog with strategic intent; keep 2–4 sprints of ready work.
Conduct product discovery with merchants, support calls, and usage analysis.
Navigate regulated payments constraints as design inputs.
Write benefit hypotheses and validate outcomes post-ship; own end-to-end cycles.
Collaborate with engineering during sprint planning, refinement, and execution.
Communicate proactively with stakeholders with monthly domain updates.
Triage incoming requests with clear disposition within 10 business days.
