Job summary

talisman in New York is seeking a Vice President to lead execution of complex M&A and strategic advisory assignments across power, utilities and energy infrastructure. This is an execution-focused role offering exposure to senior clients and a lean, high-performing team.

You will manage day-to-day deal execution, oversee financial analysis and modelling, and mentor Associates and Analysts while coordinating across multiple workstreams in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• VP level experience in investment banking.
• Strong M&A transaction execution experience.
• Excellent financial modeling and valuation capabilities.
• Ability to run multiple transaction workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong client communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in Power & Utilities is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day execution of complex transactions.
• Leading financial analysis, valuation and modelling.
• Managing Associates and Analysts across live engagements.
• Reviewing transaction materials and providing senior-level technical oversight.
• Coordinating diligence, documentation and workstreams across transaction processes.
• Working directly with senior executives, sponsors, corporates and other transaction counterparties.
• Developing strategic and transaction recommendations alongside senior coverage bankers.
• Preparing and delivering high-impact client presentations.
• Maintaining close communication with senior bankers as transactions progress.
• Training and developing junior members of the team.
• Contributing sector and market expertise across power, utilities and energy infrastructure.
