Job summary

Talisman in New York is seeking an Associate for its Power, Utilities & Infrastructure Investment Banking team to help drive a lean, high-performing platform. You will work directly alongside senior bankers on live M&A and strategic advisory assignments across power, utilities and energy infrastructure.

The role offers meaningful responsibility with a strong deal pipeline and exposure to senior clients, enabling rapid development of financial modelling, valuation and transaction execution skills

Qualifications

• Strong investment banking experience.
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
• Meaningful M&A or transaction execution experience.
• Ability to operate effectively in a demanding, high-volume deal environment.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Collaborative approach to working with senior and junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Build and Review complex financial and M&A models.
• Perform valuation analyses across public and private companies.
• Support the execution of buy-side, sell-side and strategic advisory assignments.
• Conduct company, industry and market analyses.
• Prepare client presentations, transaction materials and internal memoranda.
• Coordinate due diligence and transaction processes.
• Work directly with senior bankers and clients throughout live transactions.
• Review the work of Analysts and mentor junior team members.
• Build knowledge across power generation, utilities, renewables and energy infrastructure.
