Job summary

Pacifico Energy LLC is seeking a senior leader to drive the technical asset management of its growing thermal generation portfolio, starting with Cedar Creek Phase 1 in Bastrop County, TX.

The VP will own owner-side relationships with OEMs, LTSA providers, and the Independent Engineer, serving as a senior technical voice inside Pacifico Asset Management and guiding reliability improvements across the fleet.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in technical asset management, plant engineering, or reliability engineering in thermal generation.
• Direct LTSA experience with turbine OEMs or service providers.
• Strong understanding of gas turbine performance and RCM.
• Experience representing owner on-site during outages and testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own owner-side LTSA governance with turbine OEMs and BESS provider and enforce obligations.
• Interface with Independent Engineer during construction, commissioning, and operations.
• Represent Pacifico on-site for outages, inspections, and tests; coordinate with SMEs.
• Govern plant performance, reliability, and monthly reviews with RCA actions.
• Oversee CMMS / reliability program with O&M contractor.
• Coordinate KPI settlement with O&M contractor on availability and heat rate.
• Review contract amendments, change orders, warranty claims with LTSA providers.
• Manage the technical risk register and escalate material issues.
• Coordinate interfaces during construction-to-operations transition.
• Support analytics on plant performance, heat-rate monitoring, degradation management.
• Support OT/ cybersecurity interfaces on operational issues.
• Assist senior management with due diligence for future projects.
