1P284 The Carlyle Group Employee Co., LLC is seeking a Vice President of Payment Operations to lead the end-to-end procure‑to‑pay process. This role requires deep experience in complex financial operations within a global firm, with a strong emphasis on governance, risk management, and process transformation.

The incumbent will oversee policy ownership for AP and payment modules (Appian), manage a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment, and lead a team to deliver accurate, timely transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin., or related discipline.
• 10+ years of accounting, with progression in payment operations/finance.
• 4–5+ years in people leadership.
• Experience in private equity, asset management, or complex financial services.

Responsibilities

• Own procure-to-pay processes and ensure platform integrity and compliance.
• Monitor end-to-end payment operations; prioritize and resolve transactions across firm, fund, and deal activities.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with weekly/monthly cadences; align on deal activity and payment dates.
• Coordinate with Technology and banking partners to enable seamless transactions and infrastructure.
• Oversee US Corporate Card program; manage T&E reimbursement policy and risk mitigation.
• Review reconciliations for AP and tax accounts; own Abandoned & Unclaimed Property compliance.
• Act as primary contact on audits; respond to information requests and maintain SOX documentation.
• Develop and report KPIs to measure SLA performance and policy adherence.
