Job summary

Learfield is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Software Engineering to lead SIDEARM’s engineering, overseeing 35+ engineers across web, mobile, API and platform. You will own craft, speed, and reliability, reporting to the CTO and shaping the roadmap with product leadership.

As an executive, you will drive architectural modernization, scale to game-day traffic, and build a world-class software organization with measurable quality and capabilities that support college athletics for years

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering with 6+ leading engineers (managers and senior managers).
• A practical grasp of how agentic AI accelerates engineering delivery and data pipelines.
• Experience rebuilding or scaling a platform to handle high traffic.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and cloud strategy for SIDEARM products.
• Lead the complete re-architecture onto a modern CMS and cloud-native foundation.
• Set engineering pace, grow leaders, and ensure quality and reliability of releases.
• Collaborate with product to forecast feasibility, cost, and sequencing.
