Job summary

PIMCO is seeking a VP-level Senior Software Developer to lead analytics platforms and APIs for quants and portfolio managers in New York. You will stay hands-on while guiding design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable front-end UIs and high-performance backend services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong Python proficiency is essential.
• Strong Pandas and SQL proficiency is essential.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, large-scale data processing, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Front-end development experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of analytics tools and APIs for quants and portfolio managers.

• Translate quant and portfolio-manager requirements into technical designs.
