Job summary

55ips Quantitative Research & Development team seeks a Vice President to lead portfolio research, analysis, strategy validation, and governance for systematic investment strategies. You will partner with Quant Researchers, Portfolio Managers, Product, and Technology to ensure scalable, robust research outputs.

The role requires strong markets knowledge, hands-on analytics with SQL and Python, and leadership to drive cross-functional execution in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• 6+ years in portfolio research, quantitative investing, or systematic strategies.
• Direct people management experience and end-to-end project leadership.
• Strong understanding of markets, portfolio construction, and risk frameworks.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics and validation of portfolio positioning, risk, and performance.
• Oversee back-testing, scenario analysis, and governance of research outputs.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across PM, Research, and Technology.
• Produce executive-ready dashboards and documentation.
