Job summary

Tyler Technologies in Latham, NY is seeking a dynamic VP of Professional Services & Support to ensure that our K12 transportation customers thrive with our software. This leadership role reports to the General Manager and VP for Transportation and will drive adoption, implementation, onboarding and customer success across a broad services portfolio.

This executive will lead teams, set strategy, manage budgets and partner with Sales, Development, and Product to align services with company goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years in customer support, professional services, or related roles, with 7+ years in senior leadership positions.
• Proven track record of scaling service and support operations in a software or tech environment.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with SaaS business models and customer lifecycle management.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Hands-on technical implementation management for enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: develop and execute a strategy for professional services, onboarding, and customer support.
• Team Leadership: lead and develop high‑performing teams for our K12 transportation software customers.
• Customer Experience: ensure a seamless customer journey from kickoff to ongoing support.
• Operational Excellence: optimize workflows, budgets, and resources to meet goals.
• Collaboration: align with Sales, Development and internal teams to drive customer engagement.
• Financial Responsibilities: manage P&L, budgeting, forecasting and profitability by project.
• Administration: oversee performance evaluations, training plans, and policy enforcement.
