Job summary

GTI Fabrication is launching a Service & Field Operations unit to deliver on-site installation, maintenance, repair, and field support across our equipment product lines. The Vice President of Service & Field Operations will own strategy, GTM, and full P&L accountability for this unit.

This startup leadership role within our fast-growing manufacturer will partner with executive leadership to transform service delivery into a high-margin, scalable growth engine and a core differentiator for GTI.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in field service, aftermarket operations, or customer support in industrial equipment OEM/heavy manufacturing.
• 5+ years in an executive leadership role with P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record launching, scaling, or transforming a service line to profitability.
• Deep expertise in field service execution, technician network, spare parts logistics, service pricing, and SLA architecture.
• Strong financial acumen with pricing strategy and capital allocations.
• Proven ability to recruit and lead technical field teams.

Responsibilities

• Define market demand, segmentation, and competitive positioning across GTI’s portfolio; establish service tiers, pricing models, and SLAs.
• Build and manage the service P&L to grow revenue, expand gross margin, and achieve profitability targets.
• Develop the in-house vs. partner capabilities and drive multi-year geographic/service footprint expansion.
• Create field service playbooks, dispatch systems, work order management, and fleet logistics.
• Establish site access protocols, risk protections, customer sign-offs, and strict safety/quality standards.
• Recruit and structure a high-performing field organization; provide training and career progression.
• Select and deploy FSM, CRM, and remote diagnostic platforms integrated with ERP/finance.
• Define and track KPIs including CSAT/NPS, SLA compliance, and first-time fix rate.
