Job summary

The Ladders is seeking a VP of Security to lead enterprise security and guide international expansion. This remote US-based role partners with executive leadership, Product, and Engineering to embed secure-by-default practices, reduce risk, and strengthen trust across the organization.

Responsibilities include setting a multi-year security roadmap, building 24/7 detection/response, overseeing M&A security diligence, and aligning programs with NIST CSF, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 while enabling secure

Qualifications

• 12+ years in security with leadership at a SaaS/platform
• Cloud-native security experience at scale (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes)
• Proven M&A security diligence and integration track record
• Security programs aligned with NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO 27001

Responsibilities

• Set security strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned with CSF
• Establish and manage 24/7 detection and response operations
• Build and maintain a comprehensive security tech stack (SIEM/SOAR, VM)
• Oversee security diligence for M&A activities and integration
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering for secure-by-default designs
