Job summary

Greenhouse is seeking a Vice President of Security to set the security strategy and lead execution across product, corporate, and information security. Reporting to the CTO, you will guide the security team, advise the ELT and Board, and partner with Product, Legal, Privacy, and Finance to safeguard data as Greenhouse scales.

You’ll drive risk decisions, build leadership capacity, and ensure compliant and auditable security programs, including AI governance and incident response.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in security with 5+ years leading a multidisciplinary security org.
• Experience as Head of Security, CISO, or VP Security.
• Experience scaling a security program during growth in B2B SaaS or consumer tech.
• Experience with security operations, cloud security, product security, IAM, risk, and incident response.
• Proven track record presenting to executives and boards.

Responsibilities

• Define and own Greenhouse’s security strategy, multi-year roadmap, and budget.
• Lead security across product, corporate, and information security including AI-native tooling.
• Develop leadership bench with coaching, succession planning, and career growth.
• Own security risk posture and oversee SOC 1/2, ISO standards, and audit readiness.
• Lead incident response, disaster recovery planning, and regulatory communications.
• Govern AI usage policies, data handling, access controls, and auditability.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, and Finance on secure-by-default design.
• Advise Sales/CS on security reviews and participate in enterprise deals with CISOs/CTOs.
