Job summary

Dakota Business Lending in Fargo, ND is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Sales and Business Development to lead loan production, expand referral networks, and grow market share across its small business lending programs.

You will guide all sales, outreach, and business development functions, partner with Credit/Processing and Servicing to align growth with program requirements, and travel within the DBL footprint as needed. This executive role sits on the DBL management team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related field; MBA preferred.
• Proven track record in lending, business development and leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of SBA and community development lending programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the sales/origination team to achieve production, pipeline, and conversion targets.
• Design and execute strategies to expand lending activity across the footprint and across products.
• Partner with Credit/Underwriting to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent borrower communications.
• Track and report key metrics and forecast volume to refine go-to-market strategies.
• Recruit, develop, hire, and retain top business development officers and sales talent.
