Job summary

Olsson Industrial Electric, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Safety to lead company-wide safety strategy, programs, and culture across Oregon and Washington.

The role manages Safety leadership and site representatives while partnering with executives, field teams, and insurance partners to reduce risk and injuries. Responsibilities include developing the safety vision, overseeing training and investigations, and ensuring OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, safety management, construction management, engineering, business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Progressive leadership experience in complex safety environments with senior operational leaders.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices; Oregon/Washington familiarity preferred.
• Certification such as CSP/CHST or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and articulation of the safety vision, objectives, and procedures across the company.
• Provide leadership and coaching to Safety leadership and the broader Safety Team.
• Oversee company-wide safety and loss control programs across offices, shops, and jobsites.
• Partner with leadership to ensure day-to-day safety program execution, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor safety performance indicators and incident trends; report to senior leadership.
• Manage enterprise risk related to safety, including root-cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Develop and manage the Safety Department budget, resources, and training investments.
