Job summary

Olsson Industrial Electric is seeking a Vice President of Safety to lead company-wide safety strategy, programs, and culture. The role oversees safety leadership and site representatives across Oregon and Washington, driving a best-in-class safety culture with regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

Compensation ranges from $150,000 to $180,000+ annually, with bonus and comprehensive benefits. Travel to project sites and offices will be required as part of leadership duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, safety management, construction management, engineering, business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of safety vision, objectives, strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Provide leadership to Safety leadership and Safety Team; set expectations and support development.
• Oversee company-wide safety and loss control programs across offices, shops, and projects.
• Partner with safety leadership for day-to-day execution of programs, training, investigations, and regulatory requirements.
• Balance strategic oversight with field involvement and practical safety solutions.
• Establish and monitor safety KPIs, incident trends, and program effectiveness; report to senior leadership.
• Lead enterprise safety risk management, review incidents, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Ensure OSHA and construction safety standards compliance across org and with customers/insurers.
