Job summary

Nitra is seeking a VP of People to own and scale our people function during a critical growth phase. This senior role partners with leadership across Sales, Product, and Operations to align talent strategy with business goals and develop scalable people systems.

You will lead end-to-end recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and manager enablement, shaping culture and organizational health as headcount grows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in People Operations, Talent, or HR at Director or senior level.
• Experience scaling companies from ~50 to 300 people across multiple geographies.
• Proven experience partnering with executives and senior leaders in fast-growing startups.
• Able to maintain a high-velocity culture across departments during growth.
• Experience managing complex compensation plans across functions.
• Strong judgment with strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
• Experience building/rebuilding recruiting and people systems in early- to growth-stage companies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management at all levels.
• Comfort owning ambiguity and setting direction where processes don’t yet exist.
• Experience with ATS/tools (Lever, Greenhouse, HRIS).
• Experience supporting both GTM and technical orgs.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale the company’s People strategy during high growth, including hiring, onboarding, performance, and employee experience.
• Partner with executive leadership to translate business goals into headcount plans, org design, and people priorities.
• Lead end-to-end recruiting strategy, workforce planning, and bar-setting across GTM, Product, and Operations.
• Build and standardize hiring processes, role definitions, scorecards, and interview practices.
