Job summary

Pinnacle MEP is seeking a results-driven Vice President of Operations in Lansing, MI to lead plumbing and HVAC operations across multiple sites. The role oversees project delivery, budgets, safety, and client relations for a growing mechanical contracting group.

The ideal candidate has 15-20 years of project management in plumbing and HVAC, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering large-scale commercial, multifamily, and residential work. Competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 15-20 years of project management experience within plumbing and HVAC.
• Proven success managing large, complex projects in commercial and multifamily construction.
• Experience leading teams in a multi-location or multi-division environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, HVAC systems, and field operations.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, manpower planning, and operational performance.
• Effective leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across multiple locations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and accountability.
• Oversee execution of all projects, including commercial, multifamily, and residential scopes.
• Direct and support a workforce of approximately 250 field technicians, including project managers and field supervisors.
• Drive operational performance related to schedule, budget, productivity, and quality.
• Establish and enforce standard operating procedures and best practices across all branches.
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning, workforce development, and growth initiatives.
• Monitor financial performance, including job costing, forecasting, and margin improvement.
• Champion a strong culture of safety, compliance, and accountability.
• Build and maintain key relationships with clients, general contractors, and vendors.
