Job summary

Moran Iron Works seeks a dynamic Vice President of Operations to provide strategic leadership across management, supervisors and staff. You will oversee operations, budgeting, policy development and key projects to drive profitability and long-term sustainability.

With experience in senior management, you will implement EOS, optimize processes, and partner with department heads to reduce costs while growing the business. This on-site role is based in Michigan.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a similar leadership role with a track record of growth.
• Senior management experience leading teams toward common goals.
• Strong finance and accounting background; analyze statements and drive profitability.
• High school diploma or GED minimum; hands-on capability is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to ensure effective controls, systems and reporting for efficiency and compliance.
• Evaluate and implement tech solutions to drive growth and innovation.
• Develop and manage the annual budget with cost control and strategic alignment.
• Create and update policies to promote profitability and sustainability.
• Collaborate with managers to implement process improvements and reduce costs.
• Address recurring challenges and potential risks with department leaders.
• Oversee training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, engagement and security programs.
• Lead major projects like facility layout changes and capital investments.
• Track progress with metrics and hold managers accountable for results.
• Lead EOS implementation and training among the management team.
