Moran Iron Works in Michigan is seeking an Assistant to the Production Manager to help ensure daily productivity standards are met, workflows run smoothly, and resources are allocated effectively across our manufacturing and fabrication operations.

The role involves timekeeping, scheduling, payroll compliance, routing of work orders and blueprints, inventory support, and shipping documentation to keep production moving on schedule and within quality standards.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED; hands-on experience valued.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel skills essential.
• Strong multitasking and organizational capabilities.
• Attention to detail with numbers, schedules and compliance.
• Independent yet collaborative, adaptable to team needs.

Mansioni

• Timekeeping and payroll compliance management.
• Dynamic shift scheduling and front-line staffing alignment.
• Approve time-off requests with strict guardrails.
• Audit overtime and prepare payroll data for distribution.
• Route blueprints, work orders, and travelers to welding bays.
• Weekly cycle counts; collaborate with Purchasing on materials.
• Maintain tool crib logs; document maintenance for CNC, presses, welders.
• Prepare bills of lading and shipping paperwork.
