About The Role

The Vice President, Medical Operations & Quality is responsible for clinical guidance and training, ensuring high-quality medical and psychiatric care for patients at Equip. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and protocols, working with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting the Medical team in delivering integrated care that retains patients and ensures positive outcomes. The role requires strategic thinking to scale care in a fast-growth environment, fostering a culture of excellence, and inspiring a team of Medical providers in a virtual, multidisciplinary care model.

Responsibilities
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives to elevate patient care standards and operational practices, including chart audits, peer reviews, and patient satisfaction mechanisms.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to enhance the efficacy and efficiency of Medical providers, aligning with Equip’s mission and goals.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring high standards of clinical care, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Foster strong relationships with providers, promoting collaboration, engagement, and buy-in for change initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of practicing medicine, with at least 3+ years leading medical teams, preferably in virtual care. Must have completed a US residency and fellowship in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or Psychiatry, with board certification and an unrestricted state medical license. A Master’s in Business Administration or Healthcare Management is a plus.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams, strategic planning, and decision-making capabilities. Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and foster collaboration.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for gaining buy-in and maintaining relationships. Demonstrates humility, inclusiveness, and open-mindedness.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
Physical Demands

This is a remote role requiring travel at least quarterly. Must be able to operate standard office equipment, communicate effectively via telephone, and sit or stand as needed.
