Corpus Christi Housing Authority seeks an experienced Vice President of Human Resources to lead all HR and risk management functions in Corpus Christi, TX. The role directs policy, recruitment, benefits, and compliance across the organization.

The position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to communicate across departments and with the board. Flex hours may be required to meet Housing Authority goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in HR, Business, or public administration or related field.
• Eight+ years in progressively professional/managerial HR roles.

Responsibilities

• Recommends policies to COO, CEO and Board.
• Oversees HR and Risk Management functions and safety activities.
• Keeps current on HR law and policy changes; attends updates.
• Develops and interprets HR policies to ensure compliance.
• Oversees employee benefits programs and wage/salary surveys.
• Manages recruitment for exempt and non-exempt staff and updates job descriptions.
• Leads health insurance program redesigns to balance cost and value.
• Coordinates workers' compensation program and incident investigations.
• Represents CCHA at unemployment hearings and HR-related matters.
