Job summary

W&T Offshore, Inc. in Houston seeks a Vice President / Director of Health, Safety, Environmental & Regulatory (HSE&R) to lead the development and execution of safety and environmental strategies across the company’s offshore and onshore operations.

The role is office-based with travel to TX/LA/AL, reports to the COO, and requires 15+ years of hands-on HSE leadership in offshore energy, strong regulatory knowledge, and proven ability to influence at all levels.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of hands-on Senior HSE management experience in offshore energy.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Management, Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills with excellent communication.
• Experience interacting with government agencies such as BSEE, BOEM, USCG, OSHA, EPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE/Regulatory strategy formulation, execution, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee regulatory submissions (EPs, DOCDs, permits) and ESG data reporting.
• Direct SEMS programs, audits, and incident investigations across sites.
• Represent the company in industry groups and regulatory discussions.
