Job summary

Govig & Associates is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources for a multi-site senior living organization in the Midwest. This role partners with operations to support a large frontline workforce and builds scalable HR programs that enhance the employee experience.

The leader will direct HR strategy across recruiting, onboarding, training, engagement, retention, payroll, benefits, and compliance; drive growth into new markets; and coach the HR team while staying hands-on when needed.

Qualifications

• Progressive HR leadership experience within a multi-site organization.
• Experience supporting a large workforce.
• Background in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, property management, or another service-oriented industry is preferred.
• Experience supporting growth, acquisitions, new market expansion, or organizational change.
• Strong working knowledge of payroll, benefits, employee relations, compliance, recruiting, and HR operations.
• A collaborative, practical leadership style with the ability to balance employee needs, compliance, and business priorities.
• Adaptable, resourceful, comfortable with change, and energized by building better processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic HR partner to executive and operational leadership.
• Lead and develop HR strategy across recruiting, onboarding, training, engagement, retention, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and compliance.
• Strengthen systems and processes to support organizational growth and expansion into new markets.
• Support growing multi-state workforce needs.
• Coach and develop the HR team while remaining comfortable working hands-on when needed.
• Partner with leaders on complex employee relations, performance management, and risk-related matters.
• Spend time in the field building relationships with leaders and frontline employees.
