Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Vice President of Operations in the USA (Dallas area) to provide senior leadership, set strategy, and maximize growth and profitability while managing resources in line with client expectations and policies.

Successful candidates will drive organizational effectiveness, standardize processes, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver optimal supply chain performance. 50% travel and extensive collaboration with HR, Sales and Finance are expected.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in logistics or supply chain.
• Experience in client-centric environments with accountability for operations metrics and client relations.
• Third-party logistics experience is preferred but not required.
• 10+ years in logistics operations management; 5+ years as a regional operations leader managing multiple locations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Logistics or equivalent; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop an operations strategy tailored to the client, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve margins.
• Ensure operational excellence through standardization, risk assessment and key metric reviews.
• Plan and execute startup facilities for new business.
• Lead teams and partner with clients to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Contribute to sales and solutions by supporting key strategic accounts.
• Grow bench strength by developing and challenging operations staff.
• Collaborate with HR, Sales and Finance to support business goals.
