Job summary

Solana Foundation is seeking a VP of Communications to own the global narrative and reputation of the Solana network end to end. You will set defensible narrative pillars, build tier-one media relationships, and lead incidents responses with a hands-on, craft-driven approach.

You will counsel Foundation leadership, develop external technical voices, and coordinate across policy, governance, and ecosystem teams to ensure accurate storytelling on fast-moving topics.

Qualifications

• Roughly 10–15 years in communications in high-scrutiny environments.
• Experience managing communications during fast-moving, high-stakes incidents.
• Direct relationships with tier‑one business, financial and tech journalists.
• Ability to discuss technical topics with engineers and translate for non‑technical audiences.
• Track record of influence through coalitions, consortia or open‑source projects.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a global narrative for Solana built around defensible claims.
• Build and maintain tier‑one media relationships across U.S. business, financial and tech press.
• Own reputation and issues management across network incidents and other high-stakes moments; establish processes and language.
• Provide executive positioning and communications counsel to Foundation leadership.
• Build external technical voices who can explain Solana to diverse audiences.
• Provide communications support to ecosystem teams, including founder media training.
• Translate protocol and governance changes for varied audiences.
• Coordinate with Policy and Legal on regulatory moments.
• Develop a measurement framework focused on narrative accuracy and outcomes.
