Job summary

Solana Foundation in San Francisco, CA seeks a VP of Communications to own the global narrative and the network’s reputation end to end. You will set defensible messaging, build tier-one media relationships, and oversee responses during major incidents and governance moments.

You will advise Foundation leadership, draft statements, and shape a proactive communications system that scales with the ecosystem. The role demands hands-on drafting and strategic oversight.

Qualifications

• Roughly 10–15 years in communications, with high-scrutiny experience.
• Direct relationships with tier-one journalists across business, finance and tech.
• Ability to discuss technical topics with engineers and explain to non-experts.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a global narrative for Solana with defensible claims.
• Build and maintain tier-one media relationships across U.S. business, finance, tech, and crypto press.
• Own reputation and issues management across incidents, bugs, and governance moments.
• Provide executive positioning and communications counsel to Foundation leadership.
• Build external voices to credibly explain Solana and advocate for it.
• Support ecosystem teams with launch comms and founder media training.
• Translate protocol/governance changes for diverse audiences.
• Coordinate with Policy and Legal on regulatory moments.
