Job summary

Children’s National Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Vice President of Financial Operations to direct long-range financial planning, budgeting, and decision support across CNH entities, the Children’s Research Institute, and hospital programs.

The role leads an interdisciplinary team of up to 100 FTEs, reports to the CFO, and collaborates with clinical and academic leaders to ensure compliant, efficient financial management.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of federal rules and regulations for grants and research.
• Strong capabilities in strategic planning, financial analysis, modeling, and accounting.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and auditing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-range financial planning and annual and capital budgeting for CNH entities, CRI, and related programs.
• Direct grants and contracts post-award management and financial reporting in collaboration with Finance and Research Administration.
• Develop and implement policies for budgeting, decision support, and financial planning across the organization.
• Oversee compliance with local, state, and federal requirements and guide internal controls and audits.
