Job summary

Children’s National Hospital seeks a VP of Financial Operations to direct long-range financial planning, decision support, and budget development for CNH, the Children’s Research Institute, and affiliated programs. The role leads an interdisciplinary team up to ~100 FTEs and reports to the CFO, advising on fiscal strategy and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years in healthcare financial leadership, mastery of US GAAP, and strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 10–15 years of progressive operational financial experience in healthcare.
• Experience in financial planning, budget development for complex systems, and grant management.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic financial planning for CNH and related entities.
• Direct budgeting processes for operating and capital needs across CNH, CRI, and subsidiaries.
• Provide analytics to support clinical operations, growth of the research portfolio, and CFO advisory.
• Oversee post-award management of grants and contracts and oversee compliance with federal rules.
