Job Title: Vice President, Financial Reporting, Planning & Analysis
Location: Fully Remote (Periodic Travel Required)
Compensation: Commensurate with Experience

A rapidly growing insurance company is seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President of Financial Reporting, Planning & Analysis to serve as a key partner to the CFO. This executive-level role will be instrumental in leading the company's financial reporting, performance analysis, and strategic planning initiatives, while also managing a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership capabilities to help shape the financial strategy and culture of a well-established finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of statutory and GAAP financial statements, including quarterly and annual filings, RBC reporting, and tax disclosures.

  • Oversee the conversion of statutory financials to GAAP and maintain compliance with NAIC, MAR, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Drive company-wide financial planning and forecasting processes, aligning capital allocation and budgeting with long-term business objectives.

  • Develop and present actionable insights through data-driven financial analysis, reporting, and KPI dashboards to support executive decision-making.

  • Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and operational teams to model program-level performance, reinsurance structures, and profitability.

  • Lead finance operations initiatives, including systems upgrades, reporting enhancements, and process automation.

  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts and planners, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial reporting and planning within the insurance or reinsurance sector.

  • Expert knowledge of STAT and GAAP accounting, including key schedules (F, P) and insurance-specific financial metrics.

  • Strong understanding of delegated authority programs, reinsurance treaties, and capital management frameworks.

  • Demonstrated experience leading financial planning and reporting teams, with a track record of operational excellence.

  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems and data analytics tools.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
