Job summary

TrueTrack Staffing seeks aVP of Finance to lead the finance and accounting functions for a growing inventory-heavy power equipment business. The role combines financial reporting with FP&A, cash management, and strategic business partnering with a hands-on leadership style.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting, inventory valuation, and profitability analyses, partnering with Sales and Operations to optimize deal economics, margins, and capital deployment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with leadership responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong command of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and management reporting.
• Experience within an inventory-intensive operating environment such as industrial equipment, distribution, machinery, rental, manufacturing, construction, automotive/heavy equipment, or field services.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost, gross margin, working capital, AR/AP, and operational finance.
• Experience partnering directly with Sales and Operations rather than operating finance as a standalone function.
• Advanced Excel and financial-modeling skills with strong experience using accounting/ERP systems.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required depending on experience.
• Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment where senior leaders remain hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company's accounting and finance function, including monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial analysis.
• Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements and management reporting for executive leadership.
• Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts while providing leadership with clear visibility into expected revenue, profitability, cash flow, and capital requirements.
• Manage and analyze inventory valuation, inventory aging, turns, purchasing activity, equipment profitability, and working-capital requirements.
• Partner with Sales and Operations to understand deal economics, pricing, gross margin, commissions, project costs, and profitability.
• Develop financial models and analyses supporting inventory purchases, major transactions, financing decisions, investments, and strategic growth initiatives.
