Job summary

Singularity, a Gardena, CA-based Aerospace & Defense startup, seeks a VP/SVP of Finance — with a clear path to CFO — to own the entire finance function and partner directly with the CEO. This is the senior-most finance seat today, built for a true partner to the founder across the business.

The role spans budgeting, debt financing, governance for government contracts, and scaling toward mass production. You will drive burn, runway, and spend controls, deliver investor-ready financial narratives,

Qualifications

Hardware production finance — direct experience taking a hardware program to cash flow positive.
US Government contracts — financial side: structures, billing, cash flow, and compliance.
Debt & equity fluency — structuring debt and venture financing; growth fundraising.
Core finance depth — banking/accounting background with debt/equity financing experience.

Responsibilities

Own all finance functions end-to-end: FP&A, accounting, treasury, controls, tax, audit, and financial reporting.
Build the financial roadmap from first contract through mass production to cash flow positive.
Prepare the company for venture fundraising; support equity raises, debt financing, and due diligence.
Structure and manage the full debt stack for a scaling hardware business: facilities, equipment, and working capital.
Own budgeting across the company; defend the operating plan and tie to programs and hiring.
Lead a high-caliber finance team and build scalable financial systems and processes.
