Job summary

Synergy Search is seeking a VP of Finance (FP&A) to build and lead the FP&A function for a growing, investor-backed healthcare services organization. You will join the finance leadership, own budgeting and forecasting, and develop a small team, with equity participation and regular access to the CFO and owners.

In this role you’ll model contracts, bids, and strategic scenarios, lead cross-market reviews, and drive reporting for lenders and sponsors.

Qualifications

• Healthcare industry experience with payer knowledge.
• Private equity experience.
• Experience at a multi-entity, multi-location company with $200M+ revenue.
• Proven FP&A builder who has built teams and can still roll up their sleeves.
• Advanced Excel beyond pivot tables (Power Query, Power Pivot, and dynamic functions).
• Strong financial modeling, including contract and scenario modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting, rolling forecasts, and cash flow forecasting.
• Build financial models for contract bids, new locations, and operator-requested scenarios.
• Deliver bridges and visuals that a CFO can drop straight into a board deck.
• Lead monthly operating reviews with operational leaders across multiple markets.
• Support lender and sponsor reporting, including covenant compliance.
• Standardize data definitions and reporting across markets, and support the BI buildout.
• Review and coach junior analysts and catch faulty assumptions.
• Anticipate the CFO’s questions before they are asked.
• Stay hands on in the details, from senior analyst level work up to executive reporting.
• Support acquisition integration and system rollouts.

• Examples of anticipating CFO needs and translating complex data into clear visuals
• Located in the Central or Eastern time zone, and open to relocating or traveling on demand
• Experience with lender and sponsor reporting and acquisition integration is a plus
