About the Role

Redpanda seeks a Vice President of Finance with proven experience in building and leading global financial operations to support rapid growth. This role reports directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate will excel at adapting financial systems and processes to meet the needs of a fast-scaling business.

You Will:

1. Build, scale, and lead the Accounting and Strategic Finance functions, developing a top-tier team to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting.
2. Partner with the CEO and leadership team to set and achieve ambitious financial goals and strategies.
3. Manage the monthly close and reporting processes; support quarterly updates to the Board.
4. Implement and optimize financial processes and systems for improved accuracy and efficiency.
5. Collaborate with GTM, Product, Engineering, and G&A teams to develop strategic support initiatives.
6. Lead potential M&A or fundraising activities, including investor relations and investment decisions.
7. Oversee treasury activities and manage cash flow.
8. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and tax obligations, partnering with legal and stakeholders for data accuracy and compliance.

You Have:

1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; MBA and CFA/CPA preferred.
2. 10+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or financial consulting.
3. Proven success in high-growth startup environments, with experience in building and scaling finance functions.
4. Willingness to engage in hands-on activities to support financial success.
5. Ability to navigate between strategic vision and operational execution.
6. Excellent communication skills, comfortable with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Creative, decisive, and action-oriented problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
9. Expertise in financial modeling to optimize revenue achievement.
10. Strong consultative skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
11. Capacity to drive strategic initiatives beyond traditional accounting and FP&A functions.

Additional Information

U.S. base salary range: $275,000 - $323,000 (CA, NY, WA), $260,000 - $310,000 (other US locations). Salaries are role, level, and location-dependent. We consider each candidate's skills, experience, and education during compensation discussions.
